This Associate Director, Affiliate & Influencer Marketing is part of the Media & Growth Marketing team that’s responsible for managing all brand and performance investments across the enterprise portfolio. She or he will play a critical role in transforming a 150-year-old heritage mattress business into a digital-first, consumer-centric sleep & wellness company, overseeing the strategic development of full-funnel media plans that drive growth of the Serta Simmons Bedding’s DTC business as well as halo over to SSB’s wholesale business, and driving foot traffic into B&M stores.

What You'll Do:


We are looking for an experienced partnership marketer and strategist who will take our Affiliate and Influencer channels to the next level as a key brand & business driver. You will report to the SVP of Media and Growth Marketing and has two direct reports. In addition to leading a team, the ideal candidate will have a strong track record of negotiating contracts and have broad experience activating digital marketing tactics like display media, email marketing, content commerce, and paid social via affiliate and influencer partners.

  • Develop the company’s strategy for all affiliate and influencer marketing channels
  • Cultivate and nurture competitively advantaged relationships with existing and new media publishers, vendors, and influencers
  • Lead in negotiating paid placement and full funnel media agreements with new and existing affiliates in the content, mattress review, loyalty, discount and mass media affiliate space
  • Build strong relationships across the internal marketing organization, including but not limited to PR, creative, brand, CRM, and Social Media teams.
  • Manage and optimize investments to achieve target KPIs; drive a robust test & learn strategy to constantly improve channel effectiveness
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, focusing on how these changes can be leveraged to drive material program improvements

Includes ability to offer a broad perspective that extends beyond a functional discipline and draw upon knowledge that comes from frequent interaction with different departments, employees and sources and constituencies outside of the Company.
  • Network/Resources: Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches, and processes.
  • Communication: Ability to simplify and persuasively communicate highly technical concepts to non-experts and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: The ability to evaluate and ensure that vendor performance meets or exceeds defined performance standards and adheres to overall company policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring:


  • 8+ years of experience in affiliate and influencer management, growth strategy and delivering successful digitally led campaigns, at a media agency or large in-house team.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team
  • Experience applying influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and paid media partnerships as part of cohesive brand building and growth marketing efforts.
  • Strong background in designing and optimizing different revenue share and CPA models to incentivize partners and maximize performance and value; expertise with CPA models and in identifying, building, and growing affiliate partnerships across editorial publishing, influencer, loyalty and review sites
  • Understanding of SEO trends and how to use affiliate marketing as a supplemental SERP strategy.
  • Well versed in mar-, ad-tech, and platforms used to manage and execute Affiliate and Influencer programs. Proficiency in Google Analytics and Excel; a strong understanding of attribution a plus
  • Experience working with legal and procurement teams to negotiate favorable contracts
