Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Place mattress springs on mattress building table.
• Attach mattress components to springs and uses fastener guns to bind the components.
• Flip the mattress over and repeat previous step
• Temporarily attach border for tape edge operator
• Lifts bed and carries to tape-edge work station, puts mattress on stack at tape-edge line
• Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Completes any necessary paperwork or production related documentation in an accurate and timely manner as needed.
• Sweep floors and maintains work area in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Performs job duties in a safe and efficient manner and responsible for basic machine maintenance and supplies at work station
• Cross trains as requested in order to efficiently produce, quantity and minimal scrap/waste standards as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs at any time
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Functional/Technical Competencies
Experience/Education
• Basic ability to read and write English
• Attention to detail a must
• Strong eye, hand coordination
• Ability to sort components in an efficient, fast-paced and accurate manner
• Prior assembly or manufacturing experience
• This job requires operator to stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively, in a safe manner
• Produce at level to maintain integrity of Make-To-Order system.
