Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager, Growth Marketing represents an exciting opportunity to help grow SSB’s DTC business. This is a multifaceted role that supports the strategic development and responsible for the hands-on implementation, evaluation, and optimization of programmatic campaigns to drive demand and growth for the SSB brand portfolio and DTC business. You will own campaign delivery across a variety of platforms, and play a critical in defining the company’s overall strategic approach to programmatic and biddable media. 

What You Will Do:

  • Create programmatic display and video advertising campaigns including creative, targeting, and budget management.  
  • Leads and manages programmatic and direct campaigns and Posts set up, via Self-Serve API platforms and Native Buying tools
  • Drives regular optimizations to bids, audience segments, geo and demographic targets, and creative
  • Oversee the execution of operational tasks including budget management, billing and campaign creative trafficking
  • Manage campaigns, including ensuring budgets are pacing effectively and tactics are being optimized towards relevant objectives and KPIs
  • Help to define the company’s programmatic and biddable media strategy
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of SSB’s ad-tech strategy, including leading vendor RFPs and crafting points-of-view on new platform & media opportunities. 
  • Nurture and managing relationships with programmatic inventory, data, and tech vendors
  • Develop hypothesis and experimentations to drive incremental media performance improvements that drive growth
  • Contribute to the development of best practices to improve the quality or efficiency of work

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Understands all aspects of programmatic and digital media; including platform capabilities, targeting opportunities, pricing formats and bidding strategies to achieve both upper and lower funnel performance goals.
  • Hands-on experience operating in demand-side platforms like DV360, The Trade Desk, MediaMath, Amobee, etc.
  • Knowledge and informed point of view on the full digital media supply chain and how to extract value through supply path optimization.
  • Experience designing and implementing private and preferred inventory marketplace
  • Experience using and implementing custom bid optimization solutions to maximize performance against brand and performance marketing goals.
  • Strong understanding of the how to apply data (1st, 2nd, & 3rd party) to target audiences across media formats (i.e., geo-location, identity, behavioral, demo, contextual).
  • Curiosity: a growth mindset with a strong desire to learn something. Keeps abreast of current events, media trends, and category/consumer trends that may impact SSB business.
  • Passionate Consumer Marketer and the role that data and technology are playing in the media industry
  • Independent Point of View: Knowledge of the external environment in which the Company's business is conducted. Includes ability to offer a broad perspective that extends beyond a functional discipline and draw upon knowledge that comes from frequent interaction with different departments, employees and sources and constituencies outside of the Company.
  • Network/Resources: Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches, and processes.
  • Communication: Ability to simplify and persuasively communicate highly technical concepts to non-experts and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: The ability to evaluate and ensure that vendor performance meets or exceeds defined performance standards and adheres to overall company policies and procedures.


5-7 years of experience working in digital media space, with 3+ years hands-on experience buying and executing media in referenced platforms as part of an in-house or agency programmatic trading desk team.

Education Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree; relevant industry credentials or certifications (e.g., IAB Programmatic Certification; Campaign Manager Certification, GA/DV360 Certifications, TTD Edge)

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
