Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sews mattress border seams from border material cut to length from border rolls. Operates various semi-automatic sewing machines. Folds and places finished border onto racks or carts by sort criteria. Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. 

Functional/Technical Competencies

Experience/Education

Minimum 18 years of age. Basic English reading/writing skills.  High school graduate or equivalent.  Work experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Job Factors/Work Environments

Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations as required.  Must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour (heavy loads must be team lifted).

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
