What You'll Do:

 

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in Houston, TX.

 This role is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move materials, support production, and ensure efficient warehouse operations.

How You'll Do It:

 

  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift and related equipment; move materials throughout the plant
  • Unload incoming materials from trailers, verify quantities and item descriptions against purchase orders, and enter data into the system
  • Organize and stock raw materials in designated areas while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly at the end of each shift
  • Follow all established safety and efficiency procedures
  • Perform daily forklift inspections to ensure safe operation

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating a forklift (certification preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to sort and manage materials efficiently
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow work instructions, loading schedules, and production tickets
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to follow verbal instructions and collaborate with team members
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Basic ability to read and write in English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior experience operating a forklift (or demonstrated ability to learn)
  • Experience working with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment

Your Work Enviroment:

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day, with extended hours as needed for overtime
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 120 lbs multiple times per shift (team lift required for heavier loads)
  • Maintain a work pace that supports a make-to-order production environment

 

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, safety-focused manufacturing setting aligned with Lean/Continuous Improvement principles
  • Exposure to high noise levels, heat, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals
  • Clean and organized work environment

 

Safety Requirements:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed (provided by the company)
