How You'll Do It:

Loads and unloads trucks, operates a standard forklift and related equipment and tools; moving materials throughout the plant.

 

  • Unloads incoming materials from trailers using a forklift or other equipment or tools, checks quantities and item descriptions against purchasing order, and enter orders into the computer 

 

  • Organizes and/or stocks raw materials in the work area, follow departmental housekeeping requirements, and leaves the work environment and equipment clean at the end of shift 

 

  • Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion 

 

  • Performs daily checks for maintenance and safe operation of the forklift 

Functional/Technical Competencies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior experience operating a forklift (or ability to learn)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to sort and manage materials
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Follow work instructions, loading schedules, and production tickets accurately
  • Understand and carry out verbal instructions effectively
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and leadership
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and evolving environment

 

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with pneumatic tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely, take initiative, and multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Your Work Environment:

 

Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations as required. 

Also must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8-hour shift or longer in overtime situations to meet customer demand.

Heavy loads must be team-lifted.

A work pace that maintains integrity of make-to-order system is required.

Safety-focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement.

 Work environment includes a clean and safe work area and exposure to high noise decibels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals.

 Personal Protective Equipment is required to be worn for any hazards and is supplied by the company.
