Essential Duties and Responsibilities
GENERAL FUNCTION
Produces daily schedule of box spring units. Places bare units on a table, places insulating materials over the unit and place the cover over the insulating materials. Staples cover to the frame. Places the finished piece on a take away conveyor.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
*1. Gets cover, unfolds, and positions on table.
*2. Gets other upholstery materials, unfolds, and positions on cover.
*3. Gets and positions insulator pad.
*4. Gets bare unit and place on insulator pad (up to 70 lbs.)
*5. Positions cover by pulling border up over the frame.
*6. Positions and staples border to box spring frame (approximately 80 staples.) and raises press.
*7. Positions dust cover and corner guards on unit and staples.
*8. Slides or carries finished unit to take away conveyor (up to 100 lbs.)
*9. Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
*10. Moves carts of box spring units and restocks racks as needed.
*11. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Good eye/hand coordination
2. Ability to interpret standards, policies and procedures established by Serta, Serta Inc. and Federal/State/Local agencies.
3. Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Experience/Education
REQUIRED:
1. Basic ability to read and write English
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
B. DESIRED:
1. Prior assembly or manufacturing experience
Job Factors/Work Environments
Requires working at a minimum of a 100% efficiency level. Work is repetitious and involves lifting product (up to 100lbs) on a regular basis. Work involves exposure to usual hazards found in a manufacturing environment

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
