Essential Duties and Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

•Develop the media strategy for integrated marketing campaigns to support business goals. You will own the end to end strategy, planning, and execution process of media for the Beautyrest and Serta brands. This includes creating the communication plan that outlines the strategic role for each medium and how investments should be allocated across upper, middle, and lower funnel media tactics to achieve objectives. 
•Participate in creative activities to ensure creative develop aligns with media strategy. You will work closely with brand strategy, the in-house creative team, and the in-house media team to ensure that we are developing integrated plans that deliver a holistic consumer experience across channels. 
•Partner with customer teams to give strategic input and direction on jointly planned media investments with strategic retail partners. You will work with the team to determine how these investments best fit into the broader brand media plans to deliver the business objectives. 
•Work with Insights and Analytics teams to develop measurement plan and performance reporting routines. 
•Lead our external media agency relationship; you will help transform the way we work with our agency partners and build new integrated ways of working between our in-house and external agency media teams. 
•Provide input into strategic media partnerships and joint business plans to secure favorable terms, strong team support, visibility into publisher roadmaps and creative opportunities. 

Functional/Technical Competencies

Technical Skills: 

•Expertise in media planning and buying across all media platforms and channels. 
•Ability to connect media strategy and execution to commercial and brand objectives like growing revenue, increasing share of market, improving brand equity and salience
•Must understand ad-tech (DSPs, ad serving, verification) and comfortable speaking to the application of consumer data in media and marketing. 
•Experience in partnering and managing an external agency 
•Clear and compelling communicator. Must be able to clearly communicate and substantiate recommendations with both data and intuition. 
•Strong understanding of media measurement including marketing attribution, market mix modeling, brand lift studies, etc. General understanding of Google Analytics or similar digital analytics tool. 
•Experience planning and/or executing omni channel marketing programs that leverage brand building technices as well as performance media tactics like SEM, Affiliate, and Programmatic. 
•Previous experience with change management and transforming media operating models.

Experience/Education

Related Work Experience:  

12+ years of experience working in media space, preferrablly in strategy and planning roles with at least 7+ years working in digital marketing. Preferrable is someone with a mix of experience managing media for or at a brand-led organizations

Education Requirements:  

Bachelor's degree with a concentration in marketing or business; Master’s degree/MBA; Experience at a media agency and/or media lead role at brand/client.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
