Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sewing Operator to join our team. The employee will operate sewing and production machines, inspect products, prepare materials, and help maintain production goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate sewing and production machines (4300, flanging, CLT, Half-Cap, Label).
- Inspect and repair quilted panels.
- Sort and prepare materials for mattress production.
- Load and move materials using carts.
- Scan product law tags.
- Maintain production and quality standards and production rates.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work safely and follow company procedures.
- Ability to operate production equipment after training.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and machines.
- Previous sewing or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required if training is provided.
Experience/Education
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Ability to read, write and understand English
2. Basic Math skills are required
3. Production line experience helpful, but not required
4. Attention to detail is a must.
5. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively in a safe manner
6. Able to perform continuous physical exertion including lifting, bending, loading.
7. Punctuality and attendance is a must.
Job Factors/Work Environments
This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The job requires standing, moving materials, operating machines, and working at a steady production pace.
